The study was completed at Harvard School of Public Health and several other institutions in Boston, USA, and China. Over 160,000 adults filled out food diaries over a period of more than ten years. Those participants who consumed the greatest amount of isoflavones had the lowest risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. This was especially the case for isoflavones daidzein and genistein.
